Outside school hours

  • The NSC Sunday Chess Classic   are conducted after the Sunday Chess Club program. There is 1 tournament per term, 6 or 7 rounds each term with 1 round played each week. These tournaments provide the stepping stone for keen chess students to move onto the next level of chess. Time control is 60 minutes per player, with a 30 second increment per move. Playing longer games will allow students to gain more depth in understanding what they learned. They learn the benefit of controlling their impulsivity and the improvement in chess that this brings.
