  • Members in the same immediate family of the children (brothers, sisters, grand parents, mum and dad) can enter in the same team.
    No maximum team size
  • Register online and create your own team name! (see below)
  • Prizes at presentation - medals, certificates and other giveaways.
    Prizes will include Best Chess Playing Mum, Best Chess Playing Dad and various other categories.
  • Registration on the day (if not done online) accepted until 1:15pm.
  • Everyone plays 5 rounds of chess, 10 minutes per player per game. Team members don't play each other.
---- Other activities ----
  • You don't have to join in the tournament, we will have coaches here to show you the game for anyone new to chess, or run a chess demonstration for groups.
  • Friendly games are encouraged! Just come and play some chess with your family, or meet new friends on the day for casual games.

The adult whose contact details are provided above will be either staying at each event or be contactable during the time the child is attending each event.

Photographs may be taken at each event and published in the local or
State media, Northern Star Chess website, newsletters, magazines or used
in future advertising materials. By entering this activity you agree to these

be published, Northern Star Chess must be notified in writing prior to each event.
